Profile

Ellen Quintelier is a postdoctoral researcher of the Research Foundation – Flanders (FWO 2010), and an Invited Scholar at the University of Mannheim (Germany, 2011). Her research interest lies in political behavior, political sociology and comparative politics. More specifically, she focuses on patterns of inequality in political participation, and the effect of political socialization agents and personality on political participation. She holds a PhD in Social Sciences, Master in Political Science (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) and Advanced Master in Quantitative Analysis in the Social Sciences (K.U.Brussel and K.U.Leuven). Her work has appeared in "Political Research Quarterly", "Political Studies", “Acta Sociologica” and "European Union Politics".
