BRAAKLAND/ZHEBILDING and the musical theatre production ‘ADEM’

Wed 9 November 2011, 9 pm

BRAAKLAND/ZHEBILDING and the musical theatre production ‘ADEM’A recognisable production by Kris Cuppens about the course of life, played and sung by Sara Vertongen, Geert Waegeman, Nathalie Delcroix, Jorunn Bauweraerts (Laïs) and others.

In 2011, the city company Braakland/ZheBilding was awarded the K.U.Leuven Culture Prize. This is an ideal occasion to discover their work at UUR KULtUUR. With Kris Cuppens, we are certainly in good company. Five years after the award winning theatre solo ‘Lied’, we are convinced that ‘Adem’ will be at least as successful.

DANCE: KRIS VERDONCK / A TWO DOGS COMPANY presents ‘I/II/III/IIII’

Wed 22 February 2012, 9 pm

DANS: KRIS VERDONCK / A TWO DOGS COMPANY met ‘I/II/III/IIII’‘I/II/III/IIII’ intrigues audiences from beginning to end. The stage is transformed into a ‘human puppet show’: four dancers hang like puppets in a large machine that controls their movements. A solo, duet, trio and pas-de-quatre follow one another in sequence. The images ‘I/II/III/IIII’ evokes are confusing and ambiguous. Of floating angels, falling carcasses and everything in between.
