Study of the electronic density of states in disordered semiconductors by means of optoelectronic experimental techniques, especially photoconductivity, and theoretical modelling of the results. Systems currently investigated include: - hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) - parts of this study involve samples prepared in an expanding thermal plasma at the Universities of Technology of Eindhoven and Delft
- amorphous selenium (a-Se) - for this topic we collaborate with Prof. Kasap from the University of Saskatchewan (Canada)
- conjugated polymers and organic polymer blends for photovoltaic applications - this work is carried out in collaboration with IMEC
