Codes of ethics for scientific research in Belgium

The K.U.Leuven endorses the “Code of Ethics for Scientific Research in Belgium” which is a joint initiative of the Académie Royale des Sciences, des Lettres et des Beaux Arts de Belgique, the Académie Royale de Médecine de Belgique, the Koninklijke Vlaamse Academie van België voor Wetenschappen en Kunsten and the Koninklijke Academie voor Geneeskunde van België, supported by the Federal Public Planning Service Science Policy.
This “Code of Ethics for Scientific Research in Belgium” establishes the major principles of ethically justified scientific practice. Despite the great diversity of subjects and methods of scientific research, there are general principles and standards of behaviour to which  researchers are obliged to conform.
