New way of structuring

Registration for a programme stage of a complete programme and no longer for one year of the programme

    • Students enrolling for the first time in higher education select either a full-time (between 54 and 66 study points) or a part-time (between 25 and 35 study points) programme. ISP automatically assigns the study programme to these standard-track students. In certain cases, exceptions in the form of an personalized study itinerary are possible.
    • Students who are further advanced in higher education are advised to continue the programme according to the standard itinerary (full-time or part-time). From 2010-2011, it will be possible to progress through the programme more flexibly: students will be able to choose how many study points they include in their programme, providing that it is a minimum of 25 and a maximum of 66 study points.
    • Degree contracts which are greater than 66 study points are possible if the cumulative study efficiency of the student is greater than 50%. This is the ratio of the number of obtained credits and the total number of credits taken, both spread across the whole programme.
    • Degree contracts which are limited to less than 25 study points are possible in two cases:
    • If the scope of the programme that must still be completed with a view to obtaining a degree, is less than 25 study points.
    • In the form of a personalized study itinerary: in the case of well-founded requests by certain target groups (students with functional restrictions, employed students, students who are professional athletes, etc).
