Special examination arrangements for students with a disability
Application
The application procedure takes places in two stages:
You must first report to the special needs co-ordinator of the disability team. The special needs co-ordinator will prepare your application file with you.
This procedure takes time; please contact the special needs co-ordinator with sufficient time before the submission deadline stipulated in the examination regulations.
You will find the timing and concrete steps you need to take on the website supporting students with a disability at K.U.Leuven.
The stipulated deadlines for submission are:
- For the January examination period: no later than one week before the beginning of the Christmas holidays (11 December 2009).
- For the June examination period: before the Easter holidays (26 March 2010).
The special needs co-ordinator will then submit the file to the Director of Student Administration and make a recommendation about your case.
Decision
You will be informed of the Director of Student Administration’s decision shortly after the special needs co-ordinator has submitted your application.
In the event that your application is approved, the certificate will be posted to your home address. You must then contact the relevant office at your faculty with this certificate.
The certificate serves as an official proof of the approval of your application and must be taken to all the exams you reschedule outside the ordinary examination period.
