Application procedure for exchange (Erasmus+, Tempus, Bilateral and Faculty Exchange Agreement) students
KU Leuven only accepts exchange students in the framework of the official EU exchange programmes or as part of one of the many formally signed exchange agreements between KU Leuven and partner institutions abroad. If your home university is not involved in an exchange agreement with KU Leuven in your field of study, you will not be accepted as an exchange student. It is important that you check this out first.
At KU Leuven, the application process for exchange students takes place at faculty level. Therefore, you should always contact the KU Leuven faculty/department of your choice through the exchange programme co-ordinator of your home university. The hosting KU Leuven faculty/department will provide you with all the information you require, including details on courses and programmes.
