BBC Podcast: Thomas More's Utopia

500 years ago, Thomas More published his Utopia in Leuven. To mark the anniversary, BBC World Service brought its flagship discussion programme The Forum to KU Leuven to debate More's book, its place in history, and its influence on political matters.

On 5 December, BBC presenter Bridget Kendall was joined by Rector Rik Torfs, culture studies professor Fátima Vieira who coordinates the Utopia 500 project, history of communism professor Erik van Ree from the University of Amsterdam, and Dilar Dirk, an expert on the Syrian-Kurdish 'utopia' of Rojava.
