Your Conference Destination: Bruges, medieval city, art city and tourist destination has earned its worldwide fame through its impressive historical and cultural heritage. Its medieval street pattern, meandering canals and ancient ramparts enthrall millions of visitors every year. Yet Bruges is also a city living to the full in the present, accepting new challenges and seeking to balance its past with its future. This ability to transcend time will undoubtedly be a main theme through the year 2002, when Bruges will proudly bear the title of Cultural Capital of Europe.
