Dental Age Estimation

This workshop is intended to give the participant insight in the process of dental age estimation.

Most commonly used dental age estimation techniques in all age categories are discussed and their applications illustrated, with a reference to the published literature.

Participants may bring their own cases, especially single rooted teeth of upper and lower jaw. Participants themselves will have the opportunity to make tooth preparations for dental age estimation on adult teeth.

Material to bring along will be mailed to you after registration and payment of fees.

Only limited attendance possible.

The venue of this dental age estimation workshop will be the university hospital Sint Rafael where the School of Dentistry, Oral Pathology and Maxillofacial Surgery is situated. The address is:

Directions to the Dental School: standing in front of the city hall go to the right towards the Brusselsestraat. Follow this street and go left at the first traffic lights. The Dental School will be right in front of you. Enter the builing (next to the pub "Cuythoek" where dental students meet) and take the stairs to the basement.Signs will be present to guide you. The walk will take you approximately 5 minutes.
