PLEASE CAREFULLY READ THE INFORMATION DISPLAYED HERE BEFORE SUBMITTING !

The proceedings of this meeting will be published as a Special Issue to the scientific journal Forensic Science International. This has some important implications.

The first important issue is that deadlines will be applied very strictly. That is the only way in order to guarantee that the proceedings will be in your conference bag as citation-prone full text papers in Forensic Science International.

Secondly it also implies that the manuscript you submit to us will be very strictly peer reviewed in accordance to the guideliness and principles of the Forensic Science International's editorial board. It also means that you might have to make changes to your manuscript as suggested by the reviewers.

Thirdly, any abstract for oral presentation should be accompanied by a full length scientific paper in order for your material to be published in the conference proceedings as full papers, after succesfully having passed the peer review process.
Abstracts as such (both oral and poster presentations) will not be published in the Special Issue, but they will appear in the abstract book. So you are still in the opportunity to send in abstracts only, for oral as well as poster presentations.

Please use the abstract form as provided below and adhere to the instructions to authors (click on Guide for Authors at FSI website) when preparing your manuscript.

INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS
ABSTRACT FORM

IMPORTANT

You should first register adequately by clicking on the "Registration" link in the left part of the screen. Please fill out the fields on this form carefully. Your detailed input will be used for communication and meeting identification. Subsequently you will be able to make a printout of the registration form.

Next you will receive a unique login and password by email. Write it down somewhere because you will need it in order to make changes to your registration, pay your registration fees or upload your abstract at the conference website for the abstract book together with a short curriculum vitae (Prepare your abstract and your short cv of maximum 10 lines and save them as seperate files on your hard disk. You will be asked to upload them during abstract submission). The cv will be used for introducing you as a speaker at the conference).

Remember that the deadlines for eventual publication will be very strict.

Information on abstract submission:
Once you have read the instructions to authors you may start writing your abstract using the abstract form. When you are finished and have proofread your abstract, you must save it to your hard disk. You will be asked to browse your hard disk, find your abstract document and upload it into the database of the conference website.

Information on manuscript submission:
Your full length scientific manuscript has to be edited according to the instructions for authors of Forensic Science International. After saving your manuscript on your hard disk, you may upload it as well as all your figures (each one of them as separate tif-files) at the journal's website.
