If you really wonder what makes Belgium and Belgians tick, then this module is for you! These four meetings with eminent and excellent speakers will give you an insight into Belgian politics, music, science and ... beer.
Dates & program
- We 12/10: “Belgian Politics: some history and current situation”, Mr. Tim Pauwels (journalist Flemish Television), STUK Auditorium, Naamsestraat 96, 3000 Leuven.
- We 26/10: “Free concert with laureats of the Queen Elisabeth Competition (singing contest) 2011”, with introduction by Mrs. Lies Koopman (Lemmensinstituut, to be confirmed), Pieter De Someraula, Deberiotstraat 24, 3000 Leuven.
- We 09/11: “Belgian world-famous scientists”, Prof. Bart De Moor (vice-rector International Policy KU Leuven), STUK Auditorium, Naamsestraat 96, 3000 Leuven.
- We 23/11: “Why is Belgian beer that well known?”, Mr. Sven Gatz (president of the Belgian beer brewers), room of "'t Vervolg" pub, Damiaanplein, opposite hotel New Damshire. With tasty samples. Limited places, small fee.
