Visit of the Carillon of the Central Library of the University on 19 April 2012 at 18u30
On 19 April 2012, we organise a visit of the carillon , one of the most beautiful carillons in the world. Erected along with the Library in 1928 and donated by the American Engineers, the carillon survived the bombing which destroyed the library building in 1940.
- It is located in the bell-tower and provides a beautiful view of the city.
- We will enjoy a carillon concert and meet Luc Rombouts, the University Carillonneur.
- We meet at the main entrance of the Library at 6.30 pm sharp.
