Ilse SchroedersHello, my name is Ilse Schroeders and I am a student in Media Studies at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Catholic University Leuven). I think I would like to become a journalist. My priority is to find an interesting job that gives me satisfaction because I think that I cannot enjoy my life if I hate my work. Of course work is not everything. A man or a woman needs to relax sometimes. I do that by playing tennis, sending E-mails to keep in touch with my mailfriends and having fun with my other friends. By having fun I mean: playing cards, having a drink in a pub and so on. My motto: money is not everything.

Hello, my name is Inge Hanon and I am 20 years old. I am studying media
studies because I would like to become a journalist. During the week I
enjoy the good life in Leuven, but during the weekend I live in Sint-Genesius-Rode.
I spend a lot of time listening to music, especially rock but also other
genres. Radiohead, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Pearl Jam, Gorki,
dEUS,… are only a few of my favourite groups. Of course I try to
see them live and kicking if they are in the neighbourhood. A few years
ago I tried to play the guitar, but I discovered I lack talent. I also
like to travel when I have got time and money, Turkey is the most beautiful
country I’ve seen so far. Hopefully I can discover another beautiful
country very soon.

I am a 20 year old student in Media Studies at the Catholic University
of Leuven. During the week, I live in Leuven, but my homebase is in Sint-Truiden.
I love horsebackriding, playing the piano, playing tennis and help realising
movies projects (I am in an non profit organisation with film students).
Two months ago, I started photography courses at the academy of arts in
Leuven. I have an older brother (Kristof) and a younger sister (Sofie).
I adore my boyfriend Carl. My first objective is to have a nice family
life and find a profession that motivates me.
At this moment, I do not have a clue how to make websites but I hope this
course will broaden my cyber-horizon.

Introduce myself? It seems a lot easier than it actually is. First of
all, I am a human being and thus kind of complicated. But -do not worry-
I will keep it simple. Let’s see…
My name is Tiny Van Emelen. I am 20 years old and I am in the third year
of Media Studies at the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL). I love to
read, sport, draw (funny creatures), laugh, dance and sing (not very well
I’m afraid), have fun with friends, have long conversations with
my brother, watch movies, listen to all kinds of music (R.E.M., Eels,
Counting Crows and many more), philosophize, (day)dream, travel (sometimes
in my dreams), ‘work’ as a monitor at ‘Ruimte’, a
place where children with a handicap (aged 3 to 21) can come to carelessly
play and have fun during the summer, and last but not least I am a nature-lover,
which is also why I adore Ireland that much. So far for my ‘hobbies’…
but since this is not supposed to be a contact ad and I do not have to
sell myself by merely mentioning positive characteristics, I also have
to point out that I can be a very stubborn girl sometimes, which is not
always that easy for my friends and family. But, after all, I am a Gemini,
so I cannot help it. I hate to feel ignored and to feel powerless. I also
hate Brussels sprouts but that is -of course- a completely different category
of ‘things to hate’. I usually am a very optimistic and happy
person, but -just as anyone else- I am also familiar with having the blues.
At those times “playing” the (classic) guitar usually helps
a lot. Well, that is quite enough about me, isn’t it? I hope this
year will be full of joy, fun and pleasant surprises, but above all I
hope that, by the end of the year, this web design - assignment will no
longer sound as frightening to me as it does now, because – I forgot
to mention this – I am far from a computer wiz! Web guru’s here
I come!
