Practical information for exchange students

The status of Exchange Student is a special category granted to students who take part in the European educational programmes of Socrates/Erasmus, TEMPUS, ALFA and others. Or these are students who come to Leuven in the framework of a faculty exchange agreement between their university and K.U.Leuven. An exchange student remains enrolled at his/her home university, and spends a few months to a full academic year pursuing his/her studies at K.U.Leuven, free of charge.

K.U.Leuven does not accept exchange students outside of existing exchange programmes or exchange agreements! If your home university does not have an exchange agreement with K.U.Leuven, you will not be accepted as an exchange student.
