Travelling allowances for teaching staff and professors from developing countries
Professors from developing countries occasionally visit K.U.Leuven for short periods of time. They do so in their capacity as a member of a doctoral jury or because they will deliver lectures or seminars on the occasion of a doctoral examination. They can apply to the university’s Interfaculty Council for Development Cooperation (IRO) for an allowance. The allowance may amount up to € 1,240 per person and can only be used to cover travelling expenses.
All other costs, such as living and lodging expenses, should be covered by the K.U.Leuven department or faculty concerned.
Applications for travelling allowances may be sent to Martine Dekoninck at the International Office at any time during the academic year. They will be processed in chronological order.
Please fill in the application form - rtf - 49 Kbytes. The document should be signed by the K.U.Leuven supervisor and the dean of the host faculty and be sent to Martine Dekoninck.
