Erasmus Mundus Partnerships
In 2006, EuropeAid Development and Cooperation launched Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window (ECW), a higher education co-operation and mobility scheme, implemented by the Executive Agency Education, Audiovisual and Culture. It promoted partnerships and institutional co-operation exchanges between European higher education institutions and those in third countries, as well as a mobility scheme with scholarships for student and academic exchanges. In 2010, the objectives and provisions of the ECW were incorporated into the second phase of the Erasmus Mundus programme, as Action 2, Strand 1.
Scholarship opportunities
Student mobility can cover either a part or the total of the curriculum required for obtaining a degree at the University of Leuven. Erasmus Mundus Action 2 also provides opportunities for postdoctoral researchers and professors to spend a period at the University of Leuven.
The nationality of the applicant determines the specific EMA2 scholarship he/she can apply for:
