This website gives an overview of the on-going research activities in the field of ionic liquids at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (K.U.Leuven, Belgium). This research comprises fundamental aspects of ionic liquids like synthesis of new ionic liquids and their characterization, as well as more applied research like application of ionic liquids for catalysis and for the electrodeposition of metals and alloys.
