Res Metallica: "Ionic liquids: solvents of the future" (6 May 2009)

On Wednesday, May 6, at 1:50 pm, the next Res Metallica will be organized by MTM in "Aula van de Tweede Hoofdwet", Thermotechnisch Instituut - Kasteelpark Arenberg 41, 3001 Heverlee . The future of ionic liquids will be discussed by three leading experts in the field of ionic liquids, who will share some of their enthusiasm and knowledge about ionic liquids. Ken Seddon (Queen's University, Belfast UK) is one of the strongest advocates of ionic liquids and the driving force behind the present popularity of ionic liquid research and technology. He will start this workshop with an introduction on ionic liquids and their applications. Frank Endres (Universität Clausthal, D) is an expert in the field of electrodeposition of reactive metals from ionic liquids. Andrew Abbott (University of Leicester, UK) developed a unique family of ionic liquids based on choline chloride, which are very useful as electrolyte for non-aqueous plating baths. You are kindly invited to this event. Please register at: Res Metallica
