Doelstelling
In 1993 the Jan De Ploey Prize was established to further research in the field of process geomorphology. This international prize is awarded every 4 years by the Physical and Regional Geography Research Group of the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven to a young scientist (normally under the age of 35 years) who made a significant contribution to research in the field of geomorphological processes and/or soil erosion.Kredietnummer

Nominations for this Prize should consist of a brief statement and any supporting materials (CV, list of publications) including at least a copy of one critical published paper. The recipient is expected to deliver a memorial lecture at the geography section, KU.Leuven, Belgium. The Prize (1500 EURO) will pay the expenses of the visit to Leuven and the residual sum may be used to support attendance at an appropriate international conference.
