Doelstelling
The purpose is to investigate the biomechanical, kinetic and kinematic behaviour of the natural as well as the artificial knee (partial or total), in order to explore and improve the current outcome for both partial as well as total knee arthroplasty. The scope of the research will therefore be broadly based and will involve the pre- as well as postdesign study of both current as well as future models of knee arthroplasty. The chair will be used to explore this research domain from a global perspective, with input from other internationally recognized expertise groups in order to fully understand and incorporate the different international perspectives as well as demographic differences.
