  Bachelor of Theology and Religious Studies

  Theological Components

Students take five Theological Components every stage. This stage A05A4A, A06A2A, A06A3A, A06A6A and A07A3A are being taught.

Note: Students in the third stage are given the opportunity to anticipate two courses from the Master in Theology and Religious Studies (8 pts.). They are free to select 'Theology and Religious Studies courses', not 'Specialization courses'.
To facilitate this option, they will be allowed to drop one course of the Religious Studies Components and one elective (8 pts.), or two electives (8 pts.). Students need to have fulfilled the conditions for the electives. In exceptional cases, agreed upon by the secretary and pending the approval of the professors of the TCPE, students will be allowed to substitute two courses from the Master in Theology and Religious Studies for one of the Theological Components (6 pts.).

  Religious Studies Components

  Electives

Students are required to take one elective during the first stage and two electives during the second and third stage. Students are required to take at least one subject in the field of Classical Languages and one subject in the field of Canon Law during the first, second or third stage. Students who have never followed a course in Canon Law before entering this programme are required to take 'Foundations of Canon Law', which is an introduction to all other courses in this field. With regard to the philosophical components, BA1 students are prohibited from taking W0EA5B, W0EB1B, WEA8B, W0EB3B, W0EA6B.
