Aims
The theological concept of “salvation” is contextually appropriated in particular objects of study, which will be decided specifically for each course. More specific aims are the following: (1) acquire deepened knowledge in the methods of liberation theologies and theologies of encounter, as well as in the associated hermeneutical en narrative methodologies; (2) being able to apply these methods in the case of the specific objects of study chosen by entering in an independent way in a research project worked out in a small team; (3) being able to choose and analyze literature relevant to the subject; (4) being able to choose and study the mediations appropriate for the subject under study.
Previous knowledge
Students are supposed to be able to work through reading assignments in an independent way so as to be able to provide a critical summary of what has been read.They are supposed to be able to use the library independently.Passive knowledge of English, French and German is presuposed. Students are supposed to have a bacchelor’s degree in theology, with a general formation in theology.
Content
After a methodological introduction the subject under study will be introduced. The subject is considered as a research topic and students are distributed over small teams in which they will research specific aspects of the topic under study. After some sessions of teamwork follow class-sessions in which synthetic schemes are presented and a general frame of the topic is deduced.
