Aims

The main objectives of this course are that students in theology gain insight into empirical research and to help them to take the first steps to do some empirical research.

Content

 
Part 1:

  • Explanation of general concepts of empirical research;
  • The meaning of empirical research for theology;
  • Some simple techniques of descriptive statistic characteristics.

Part 2:
  • We will test examples of empirical research, together with the students.
  • Explantion of the used method with its possibilities and restrictions.
