After a general introduction of the symbolic and ritual acting in the Church, the sacramental law is situated in the entirety of the code of 1983. Afterwards, the legal standards with respect to the first six sacraments are treated. Different from what happens in most known handbooks and comments, the sub aspects of the sacramental acting  are studied jointly and comparatively for all sacraments. The legal standards as regards the various ordinary servers of the six sacraments form a chapter of the class by themselves. Other chapters concern successively the requirements for legitimately and illicitly receiving the above mentioned sacraments, for the celebration of them and, if necessary, for the registration of the administration, if required.
To a limited degree, and particularly to the degree they differ, the legal standards of the Latin rite are compared to the related canon in the code for the Oriental rites.
Particular complementary liturgical legislation is also included in the study, if necessary.
A few capita select with respect to the bringing into use and the organization of worship buildings and ending the use of these buildings complete the course.
