Aims

To reach a fundamental knowledge about the impact of religion on a modern society and the possible juridical consequences.
To develop the ability to explore the evolutions in society and the impact of this evolution on law and religion.
During this training the aim is also to develop the evaluation capacity of those above mentioned processes.
To stimulate all those abilities, guest professors will be invited who are experts in those actual matters in orde to unable the students to handle actual themes and at the same time to improve the capacity in observing in which ways canon law influences those processes.
Subject for the master proof paper will be taken out of one of the subjects presented during those special lectures.

	General information Study points: 6.00 Language: English Category: lecture - seminar Duration: 52.0 hours  Periodicity: Taught in the first and second semester POC: POC Kerkelijk recht Taught by Torfs Henri Content The lectures and seminars will be centered around topics as "The Roman Catholic Church in Western Europe as well as in the European Union", or "the position of the Roman Catholic Church in comparison with other churches and religions", or around other specific subjects as, the discussion about the necessity of a religious foundation in educational matters, the eventual need for Christian inspired media.
