OPTEC Workshop on Distance Measures and Eigenvalue Optimization
Aim:
The aim of the workshop is to bring together researchers interested in
optimization problems involving eigenvalues, stability and robustness
measures. It is at the intersection of numerical optimization
(nonsmooth optimization, semi-definite programming), linear algebra
(matrix distance problems, pseudospectra and stability radii) and
application areas, with the emphasis on problems from systems and
control (fixed-structure control design problems, design of open loop
stable systems).
Invited speakers:
- Didier Henrion (LAAS-CNRS, France and Czech Technical University in Prague, Czech Republic)
- Katja Mombaur (University of Heidelberg and LAAS-CNRS, Toulouse, France)
- Dominikus Noll (Universite Paul Sabatier, Toulouse, France)
- Michael Overton (New York University, USA)
