I am a student or staff member of the K.U.Leuven. Can I register as an applicant with my student or staff number?

You first need to request a username and password to be able to proceed. This is to avoid the loss of your data if you are no longer a student or staff member. If you have registered, you will be asked if you are a staff member, student, or external. You can here provide your student or staff number together with the password belonging to it so that your data can be imported from our database.

I have earned my university diploma. Can I apply for an educational or research function (AAP / BAP)?

Yes, preferably if you earned the degree with distinction.

If I have a doctorate and am employed as an academic employee, do I then automatically receive the wage scale of 44 (post-doctoral assistant)?

No. It is not required to award the wage scale of 44 (post-doctoral assistant). You can be appointed at wage scale 43 (assistant) even with a doctorate.

Can I apply for a ZAP function if I do not hold a doctorate?

The general condition is that the candidate holds a doctorate. In exceptional cases (for example, extraordinary academic service), this rule is waived.

I have a question about the content of a vacancy.

For this, you can contact the person who has the responsibility for the vacancy
(see the vacancy announcement or the vacancy list).

Can I also apply for a function if I will graduate this year?

Yes, if you will graduate this academic year, you can apply.
