Title:
Adolescents and the Internet: Implications for Home, School and Social Life
Project summary:
                              
This study aims to explore the Internet practices and perceptions that Chilean adolescents have of the Internet, the way they relate to this medium in terms of its contents and applications and the social and communicational impact of the Internet in their lives. The results of this thesis are based on the findings of both 32 in-depth interviews and a written questionnaire carried out among 656 14-19 years old in November 2004.  The doctoral dissertation is expected to be completed by October 2006.
