Research project

Person in charge of the project:
HUYLEBROECK DANNY, member of research team Molecular Biology (Celgen)
Title:
Paracrine and transcriptional control of embryogenesis in vertebrates.
Project summary:
The aims of this network are to bring together the expertise of different groups in order to study embryogenesis in model animals such as zevrafish, Xenopus, mouse and Drosophila at different levels: - early development (in particular mesoderm induction and neuro- genesis) and late development (organogenesis, i.e. pancreas and pituitary) - to study different types of transcription factor (homeobox, HLH and zinc finger proteins) and paracrine signalling by polypeptide growth factors and modulators (TGFb, Wnt, Eph, proteoglycans) in embryogenesis - to study the biochemical and genetic interaction between the different signalling systems and their signal transduction - to make available to each partner every model organism in the network.
