Science Parks
The Science Parks of Leuven constitute a true corridor of technology. The Haasrode Research Park , just outside Leuven, has been almost completely occupied by high technological companies.
Leuven is working on two new science parks :
- The Science Park Leuven-Arenberg is designed for ICT, Biotech and New Materials companies, and a number of venture capital and legal support companies.
- The Science Park Leuven-Termunck is currently under consideration. High-tech companies will also be established here.
Leuven.Inc
Leuven.Inc wants to build a permanent bridge between the enterprising knowledge creators and the technology entrepreneurs who complement such knowledge, and to create out of this supplementary relationship a healthy and dynamic, future-oriented, and expanding prosperity in the region of Leuven.
To reach this goal, the network aims to be a communnication platform that brings together local knowledge creators. To do this, Leuven.Inc will arrange special projects and events, for members as well as for a broad audience, corresponding to all the aspects of its objective.
At the same time, Leuven.Inc will actively participate in the international network of the knowledge community, aiming to stress the advantages of the area of Leuven as an essential junction of a global knowledge and network economy.

Research in commission
Research in commission includes basic research, feasibility and prototype studies, experiments, and the use of equipment. Confidentiality, rights of ownership, realistic action plans and respect for the objectives of all partners are key factors in the establishment of successful agreements.
