YouReCa (Young Researchers’ Careers)
The goal of YouReCa is to improve and widen the career perspectives of KU Leuven’s young researchers. To this end, YouReCa will organize and coordinate a broad spectrum of activities that are related to:
- training and education,
- career development and the improvement of career prospects,
- strengthening the international orientation of researchers’ careers.
Junior Mobility Programme (JuMo)
Do you want to perform (part of) your research outside of Belgium? KU Leuven is launching the Junior Mobility Programme (JuMo) to support the outgoing mobility of junior KU Leuven researchers. The programme starts from the principle that international or intersectoral mobility is an essential part of the training of young researchers to broaden their skills and career opportunities both inside and outside academia. Applicants can receive a mobility allowance to fund a 3 to 12 month research stay outside Belgium.
The YouReCa program is intended for all young researchers at KU Leuven:
- PhD students
- Assistant professors
The YouReCa Career Center
The YouReCa Career Center offers career guidance to all young researchers. They can consult the center for collective and individual career guidance, advise about the labour market and information about international mobility.
Outgoing Mobility Tool
Going abroad poses several practical issues like, among others, arrangements concerning migration, social security, taxability, etcetera.
Using this tool researchers can request a general information form concerning their stay abroad based on a number of pre-determined criteria. More information
