Fluorescence Microscopy And Histology Core
PURPOSE:
To provide equipment and technical help with sectioning, staining and immunofluorescence microscopy to investigators in SCIL and K U Leuven.Use of the equipment is on a fee-for-service basis.
FACILITIES:
Housed on the 8th floor of O&N 1 on the Gasthuisberg Campus
- DAKO autostainer
- Microtome
- Three Axiovert-40CFL invertmicroscope for fluorescence with videoadapter (2 of which in the P2+gene transfer facilities)
- An Axioimager-Z1 with Apotome with videoadapter, and Axiocam cameras.
A qualified technician runs the day-to-day operation of the core facility.
