SCIL > Mission statement

Mission statement

In recognition of the potential of stem cells for the treatment of Genetic, Degenerative, Immune-system and Oncologic diseases, the "Stamcel Instituut Leuven (SCIL)" was created in November 2005.

SHORT-TERM GOALS: develop basic and translational research efforts in stem cell biology

MEDIUM/LONG-TERM GOALS: translate basic / translational research in innovative stem cell-based and - derived therapies that can be implemented through already well-established clinical programs at the K.U.Leuven
