“Pluripotent” Stem Cells

- OBJECTIVE 1: Gain insights in spontaneous reprogramming of marrow cells to primitive endoderm (MAPC / Xen-P-like cells)
- OBJECTIVE 2: Gain insights in specific transcription factors that govern “pluri”potency
- OBJECTIVE 3: Generate more potent progenitors for mesodermal lineages (skeletal and cardiac muscle progenitors, osteoblast progenitors)
- OBJECTIVE 4: Robust methods to specify “pluri”potent stem cells to skeletal and cardiac myoblasts, osteoblasts, and mesodermal and endodermal cells of the liver
