- Gain molecular insights in de-differentiation and differentiation of stem cells
- Develop markers for the identity and potency of different stem cells
- Assess the fate (differentiation, homing/migration) of stem cells in animal models in vivo
- Assess immune repercussions of stem cells grafted in vivo
Ultimate goal: to use stem cells or their progeny for clinical applications in regenerative medicine, drug and toxicity screens, and tissue engineering
