Contract types

Diploma or credit contract

If you are registered as a student at the university, then you must enter into a contract with us. Such a contract can concern the acquisition of:

  • A diploma
For example, a bachelor’s degree that normally runs for three years
  • Credits for certain course units
Course credits which personally interest you, or which you wish to follow as supplementary education: for example, Introduction to Philosophy

Two different ways

You can obtain both a diploma and individual credits in two different ways:

  • As a full student
In this case, you participate in all the activities of your programme or course(s), including all the possibilities of supervision and support. This is possible through a diploma or credit contract.
  • Only by taking exams
In this case, you are only concerned with sitting exams, which you prepare through autonomous study. We then speak of an exam contract.

Conditions for permission

You will need to fulfil specific conditions for registration. You will find these conditions in the Regulations on Education
