  • Our service is closed on Thursday May 17 due to a official holiday. For urgent medical problems you can call a doctor on duty in Leuven on 070 25 70 25.
  • The Medical Center is open from 9.00 am until 18.00 pm.

 

Housing service

The Housing Service can help you in your search for suitable student accommodation. They will also answer all your questions concerning renting laws, contract details, fire safety, etc. The Housing Service advises and mediates in cases of conflict between landlords and tenants.

Assisted Living Accommodation offers students with and without a functional impairment the opportunity to stay together, to live and study in Leuven.

Residential culture, mobility and environment advisors

The residential culture, mobility and environment advisors strive to develop more durable student life by providing information, creating awareness about waste disposal, energy, environmentally-friendly mobility, etc. and running projects such as the Veggie Bag.

Pangaea is a lively meeting place where international and Belgian students can get together in an informal setting. Pangaea offers a wide range of activities.
 

Social Service

The Social Service strives to ensure that every student can study ‘care-free’. They will help you with questions and problems related to, e.g., your status as a student, family allowance, taxes, medical insurance, student budgeting, student concerns, etc.
If you have any questions relating to legal technicalities concerning your status as a student in Belgium, you should consult the Legal Service Student Services.

Student Employment Service

The Student Employment Service provides information concerning employment possibilities. Job offers are available online.
They also inform you about the Belgian law regarding employing international students.

 

Study Advice Service

The Study Advice Service can help and support you with a number of study related questions and problems, such as the choice of your programme, study support, further education either in Belgium or abroad, etc.

Service for Students with Disabilities

Do you have an auditory, visual, motor or psychiatric impairment, a chronic illness or a learning disability? As a special needs student or staff member of the university, you may consult the Service for Students with Disabilities for answers to all your questions concerning education and examination facilities, physical and digital accessibility, resources, etc., as well as general support related to your studies and student life.

Health Care

In case you fall ill in Leuven, the Medical Centre provides health care catered specially for students. You pay the legally regulated fee for a visit to the doctor, but with the added advantage that the doctors are specialised in student-related health issues.

Are you suffering from psychological or personal problems? Professional help from student psychologists and psychiatrists is available at the Psychotherapeutic Centre.

Ombudsperson for student

There is an ombudsperson to deal with certain kinds of unacceptable behaviour within the university community.
