EARAPA-THENAPA Board-meeting, Vienna,
3 July 2001
EARAPA
- What is EARAPA? Which are the rules and purposes?
EARAPA should be situated under the umbrella of IFAPA. EARAPA
is the same as IFAPA, but inside Europe. THENAPA, by which the objectives
of EARAPA are realized, is a product of EARAPA.
The only regulations within EARAPA are the bylaws. Prof. J.C.
De Potter will publish a draft of these bylaws on the website and everybody
can give him feedback on this draft. The deadline is the end of October.
In December there will be a new EARAPA-meeting and by then, the new
bylaws will be finished.
- The EARAPA-keypersons dont have the disposal of any fund
to pay their travel-costs. Therefore, their meetings are combined with
the EMDAPA-deliberations. The lack of a funding also makes it difficult
to stimulate research activities, but EARAPA plays an important role
in informing and making contacts.
- Overview of APA-scientists in Europe? (cfr. Trevor Williams)
THENAPA put a form to complete on the website: the research
register. So every APA-scientist in Europe should be stimulated to fill
in his/her data on this form on the THENAPA-website:
http://www.kuleuven.ac.be/thenapa/research/research_database.htm
In this way a global view on the active APA-scientists in Europe
arises.
- Within EARAPA, THENAPA plans to set up a journal.
Discussions are still going on: will it be a scientific journal
or a newsletter? A Paper or via computer?
We should avoid competing with APAQ! The Journal should have
its own identity; it should be a kind of newsletter; including research.
The European Commission will provide some funding to start up the Journal.
Who will take responsibility? We need concrete agreements; specific
plans for meetings
and we need good research from Europe!
THENAPA
- Deadline of the national reports: end of July 2001!
- Nina Kahrs (Norway) is still preparing an analysis of Integration
in Schools and Sport Federations. This is a kind of overview of what
has to happen in Europe. We should create a concrete Implementation
plan!
- Concerning the website: every country should put more information
on his national website!
- The THENAPA co-ordinating committee can only provide some structure,
but the national groups should realize the rest of the purposes themselves;
f.e. by contacting ministries
- Education of specialists: the basic structure is provided by
EMDAPA and DEUAPA
- November 2001: Finland
- May 2002: Bulgary-Lithuania-Hungary?
- September 2002: Belgium
- Maybe a new period of three years for THENAPA?
- THENAPA is preparing a CD-ROM about sensibilisation for APA;
this in co-operation with EMDAPA and DEUAPA. The target groups are students,
teachers, and handicapped people
In fact this CD-ROM is a kind
of promotion for the content of EMDAPA and DEUAPA.
We should take the opportunity to create these CD-ROMs now,
because now, we are financially supported by the E.C. This year the
first CD-ROM will be published: it will be a publicity-CD-ROM. Next
year, a second, more detailed CD-ROM will be created, containing three
parts: a sensorymotor part; a physiological part and a psychosocial
part.
- Content of credits: we have to propose the ideal profile
of an A.P.A. specialist-education. So we started defining the amount
of credits in the four fields of A.P.A. at the seven different degrees.
How to include the A.P.A.-courses in all these degrees? 15 June was
the deadline to bring in the proposals for the contents of the credits,
but Prof. J.C. De Potter didnt receive one reaction!
The keypersons of every country should have defined the content
of A.P.A. in all training programs in his/ her country by now.
- Problem: we dont have enough discussions; meetings
But this is a money-problem
We should really try to keep in frequently
contact.
EMDAPA- DEUAPA
- For 2001-2002: 33 students for EMDAPA; 17 students for DEUAPA.
- Both these programs run smoothly. They give a new dimension
to the development of A.P.A. in Europe
- Anna Bianco (Italy) has information-brochures with all information
about the different trainingcourses in A.P.A. If you want some exemplars,
you can turn to Anna Bianco herself.
