The Master's
Teachers, schools, organisations, governments and society continue to be confronted with new challenges in the field of education. From the care and education of infants and young children to the in-service training of professionals, the challenge remains to develop and promote evidencebased insights into quality. Today’s pressing questions are reflected in paradigm shifts in educational studies. How do we monitor quality? What developments are taking place in the brain? What is the impact of social change on the educational process? How can we exploit technological innovations? How do we raise children in settings that reflect a multicultural society? What is the impact of diversity in the classroom on the actions of the teacher? How can education and educators develop the necessary competencies and dispositions to prosper in an ever-changing world? What can be learned from a comparative approach to international educational studies?
