International celebrations
At Whitsuntide, the weekend parish invites people of UPIC, of the French, Spanish and other international communities for an international celebration. Whitsuntide, the celebration of the gift of the Holy Spirit, is a great occasion for gathering people of different nationalities. This story, from the Acts of the Apostles, tells us that everybody could understand each other, even though everyone spoke in his own language. When there's openness to each other, this story becomes reality: people can understand each other across the borders of their own culture and language. At Whitsuntide, on Sunday May 27h 2012, everybody is welcome at the Church of St John the Baptist at 11 a.m.
