Mild symptoms or risk contact?

  • Get a free test in our KU Leuven COVID-19 test centre 
  • For students from KU Leuven, LUCA, UCLL Vlerick and ETF
    • with symptoms
    • after high risk contact
    • after arrival in Belgium from a red zone
    • prior to hospital admission or specific medical treatments
    • nót for outgoing travel or events

Please note, people in need for a doctor's assessment or a COVID safe pass for outgoing travel or events cannot go for a test there: see below

COVID-19 issues that can't be addressed at KU Leuven test centre

You cannot use the free KU Leuven COVID-19 test centre in the following situations:

  • You need to get tested to get a COVID safe pass for outgoing travel or events.
    • KU Leuven centre doesn't offer this testing. These tests can be easily booked in designated test centres.
    • should you need a blood test for IgM or IgG antibody serology (required by the Chinese authorities), please consult your regular GP. Students at KU Leuven, Vlerick and LUCA on campus Leuven can send an email to the Student Health Centre at gp@kuleuven.be 
  • You are too ill to be allowed in the KU leuven test centre and want to consult a GP in person
    • preferably consult your regular GP.
    • Students of KU Leuven, LUCA and Vlerick on campus Leuven or Heverlee and their spouses and children, can consult the KU Leuven Student Health Centre by appointment. Please take a self test before registering at our front desk, inform the front desk of a positive test and wait for the doctor outside in that case
    • Students who are showing severe symptoms on weekends and public holidays can contact the out-of-hours medical centre Oost-Brabant.
    • If you are affiliated with a Belgian health insurance policy, eventual lab fees are paid directly by the insurance or refunded afterwards
  • You have administrative questions about COVID-19 (vaccination, certificates, ...) or wish medical advice on symptoms or test results, but don't need a physical GP consultation
    • preferably consult your regular GP.
    • Students of KU Leuven, LUCA and Vlerick on campus Leuven or Heverlee and their spouses and children, can consult the KU Leuven Student Health Centre by email at gp@kuleuven.be

If you are a spouse or child of an international student in Leuven or Heverlee without personal KU Leuven login, you can book your COVID test appointment (mild symptoms, risk contact, incoming travel from a red zone) at the KU Leuven COVID test centre by email at tracing@kuleuven.be.​​​​​​

You can call the doctor on duty at 1733. You can make an appointment at the doctor's practice or request a house call, depending on the urgency.
