Lecture: ‘zerofoodwaste-city’, Thursday, 16th March 2017

Within the context of the annual Science and ethics project, Ethics@Arenberg organises a lecture on “Feeding cities sustainably: the contribution of a ‘zerofoodwaste-city’ to sustainable development goal 2, zero hunger”. The lecture is based on a project in the national "city of the future" contest in Germany, which brings together citzens, universities, and local businesses to co-create more sustainable and equitable cities. Themes include local-global impacts of city food systems, transformation pathways, and food justice.

The lecture will be held in English. There will be time for questions and debate during and after the presentation.

Speaker: Leonie Bellina (Leuphana, University of Lüneburg, and International Center of Ethics in the Sciences, University of Tübingen, Germany)
