As a research professor, you will have the opportunity to build your own research group with limited teaching responsibilities in the first 10 years. These positions are also called BOFZAP. BOF (Bijzonder Onderzoeksfonds) is a fund provided by the Flemish Government, and ZAP is an acronym for senior academic staff (Zelfstandig Academisch Personeel).
